I'm Charles McDonald, a graphic designer and photographer based in Australia. My family and I moved here from South Africa in 1997, and I attended Christ Church Grammar School, where my interest in design first took shape.
I went on to complete Certificate III, Certificate IV, and a Diploma in Graphic Design at Central TAFE, and more recently completed a short course in Photography Essentials Plus, also at TAFE.
Photography has become a real passion of mine — I'm self-taught, and I love heading out on photo walks to find the small details and moments that often go unnoticed. It's a practice that keeps me curious and constantly inspired.
Outside of my design work, I run a side business called Charleymac, printing custom vinyl designs onto t-shirts. I sell these to friends, family, and at local markets, as well as online — it's given me valuable hands-on experience across design, production, and running a small creative business.
